Deep in our hearts lies a longing for purpose, and the harder we try to deny it, the louder it sings to us. It calls us to come on a journey, far and beyond, towards that field where one day we will dance together. Don’t worry about the road, there are many others walking!

1985 (MCMLXXXV) was a common year that started on a Tuesday, in accordance with the Gregorian calendar. The year 1985 was declared International Youth Year by the United Nations.

So. On 6 November 1985 I was born on a stormy night at 4am in the morning in Hilversum the Netherlands into the first International Youth Year of Planet Earth. My life so far is about youth and it will. Youth is where our future lies, generation Y is the biggest generation ever and the catalyst of the transformational shift that is about to hit the fan.

So. I am 25 now, and awake. Were are we? Watch this:

Last night I had a very strong experience; for the first time in my life I realized that I am also part of an indigenous people, from the constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, located in North-West Europe and with territories in the Caribbean. From where I am right now, far away from home, I am excited to start a research learning journey back to my roots.
